About the treatment
Preparation for Your Consultation
Before your consultation, you will receive a questionnaire from AGATA. We kindly ask you to complete and return it before your appointment. Once returned, the information is transferred to our medical record system and becomes part of your patient record.
It is important that you complete the questionnaire as accurately as possible, as the information is used as part of the medical assessment and in planning any potential treatment.
In the questionnaire, you will be asked to provide information about your health, including previous and current medical conditions, previous operations, regular medication, blood-thinning treatment, smoking, previous complications related to surgery or anaesthesia, and any relevant allergies or hypersensitivity reactions.
If you are later scheduled for surgery under general anaesthesia, information regarding allergies and intolerances must also be entered separately under the “Allergies” section in your electronic patient pathway. This includes known reactions to medication, antibiotics, adhesive dressings, latex, or other relevant substances.
During the consultation, the doctor will review the information you have provided and carry out an individual assessment of the area you wish to have treated. You will also receive information about treatment options, expected results, limitations, risks, the healing process, and possible alternative treatments.
You are welcome to bring a relative or another companion with you to the consultation. We particularly recommend this for larger surgical procedures, as a considerable amount of information may be provided during the consultation.
If you have previously undergone surgery in the area being assessed, it may be helpful to bring relevant medical records, operative reports, implant cards, or previous photographs, if available.
You do not normally need to fast before a standard consultation.
For consultations concerning the face, eyelids, nose, or skin, we recommend that you attend without heavy make-up on the area to be examined.
After the consultation, you will have time to consider the recommended treatment. For cosmetic surgery, the legally required reflection period must be observed before any operation can take place
