A mommy makeover combines several procedures – typically breast augmentation/lift and tummy tuck, often with liposuction – in one planned pathway. The aim is to restore waistline, a flatter abdomen and breast fullness/firmness after pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Who is it for?
Typically women with stable weight, BMI under 30 (often under 28 is advised for larger procedures), who are not planning more children and want several areas corrected together. Health and realistic goals are assessed at consultation.
How it works
The plan is tailored: implant or fat, breast lift, tummy tuck and/or liposuction. Breast and abdominal scars are placed as discreetly as possible. Surgery may last several hours; admission is often relevant. Focus is a safe sequence and manageable load.
Risks
Risks include those of each procedure: infection, bleeding, sensation changes, scarring and longer healing. Multiple procedures increase overall load – so a safe combination is prioritised over “everything at once”.
Recovery and maintenance
Expect typically 2–4 weeks off work and limited physical activity for up to about 6 weeks. Not smoking and being in good shape before surgery reduce risk. The result holds best with stable weight.
