About the treatment

Plastic Surgery for Men – Discreet Corrections with a Focus on a Natural and Masculine Appearance

Men are increasingly seeking plastic surgery for both aesthetic and functional concerns. The most common treatments involve the face, nose, neck, chest and abdomen, but there may also be a need for intimate procedures such as scrotal lift and correction of phimosis.

At AGATA, treatment is planned individually with respect for male anatomy. The aim is not to change the masculine appearance, but to improve proportions, contours and function in a natural and discreet way.

Upper Eyelid Surgery

Excess skin on the upper eyelids may gradually create a heavy or tired appearance and, in some patients, may also affect the visual field.

During surgery, the excess skin is removed through an incision placed within the natural eyelid crease. The aim is to create a lighter and more open appearance without changing the natural shape of the eyes or facial expression.

Brow Lift

With age, the eyebrows may gradually descend and contribute to heaviness around the eyes.

A brow lift can restore a more natural brow position and improve the balance between the forehead, brows and eye area. The technique is selected according to facial proportions and the degree of brow descent, with the aim of preserving a masculine appearance.

Rhinoplasty and Nasal Reconstruction

The nose plays an important role in both facial proportions and breathing. Rhinoplasty may be performed to correct the shape, width, profile or tip of the nose.

In men, it is particularly important to preserve a natural and masculine nasal profile, so that the nose continues to harmonise with the rest of the face.

Following previous nasal fractures or other injuries, reconstructive surgery may be required if the nose has become deviated, lost structural support or if breathing has been affected. In these cases, both the external shape of the nose and its function are assessed.

The aim is not to create a standardised nose, but to achieve a better balance between form, function and the individual character of the face.

Liposuction Under the Chin

Localised fat deposits beneath the chin can blur the transition between the chin, jawline and neck – even in men of normal weight.

Liposuction can reduce the fatty layer and create a clearer neck profile and a more defined jawline. The treatment is best suited to patients whose skin has sufficient elasticity to adapt to the new contour.

Gynaecomastia – Male Breast Enlargement

Gynaecomastia refers to the development of enlarged breast tissue in men. The fullness may be caused by glandular tissue, fatty tissue or a combination of both.

Treatment may involve liposuction, removal of glandular tissue, or a combination of both techniques.

The aim is to create a flatter and more harmonious chest contour that fits naturally with the male chest and the proportions of the upper body.

Liposuction of the Abdomen and “Love Handles”

In men, localised fat deposits often accumulate around the abdomen, waist and flanks – areas commonly referred to as “love handles”.

These fat deposits may be genetically determined and can be difficult to reduce, even with stable weight and regular exercise.

Liposuction can be used to reduce localised fat deposits and create a clearer transition between the abdomen, waist, flanks and back.

Liposuction is not a weight-loss treatment. The aim is to improve body contours and proportions by treating areas where fat distribution creates imbalance.

Phimosis

Phimosis means that the foreskin cannot, or can only with difficulty, be retracted over the glans.

The condition may cause tightness, irritation, recurrent inflammation or discomfort during sexual activity.

During consultation, the degree of narrowing and the condition of the skin are assessed. Depending on the extent of the problem, treatment may involve a foreskin-preserving widening procedure or circumcision.

The primary aim is to improve function and comfort.

Scrotal Lift

With age, after significant weight changes or as a result of individual anatomical factors, the skin of the scrotum may become elongated and lax. In some men, this may cause both cosmetic and physical concerns, including discomfort during movement, sport or when wearing close-fitting clothing.

During a scrotal lift, an individually determined amount of excess skin is removed, after which the scrotum is reshaped and lifted.

The aim is to create a more compact and harmonious shape, while preserving natural function and anatomy.

Individual Assessment

Most men prefer discreet changes where the result looks natural and remains in proportion with the rest of the body.

During consultation, the specific concern, anatomy, skin quality and expectations are assessed. The treatment is then selected to achieve the best balance between effectiveness, the extent of surgery and a natural result.

For some patients, surgery will be the appropriate solution. For others, a smaller procedure – or no surgery – may be the better choice.
