Breast lift

A breast lift raises and reshapes breasts that have lost height and firmness after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss or ageing. The goal is a more youthful shape with better proportions – without necessarily changing size markedly. If volume is lacking, the lift can be combined with an implant or fat.

Who is it for?

Relevant for sagging breasts, nipples at or below the inframammary fold, lack of upper fullness or asymmetry. Best results are typically seen with stable weight, BMI under 30 and a smoke-free lifestyle. Many choose the procedure after finishing family planning.

How it works

We offer a small or full breast lift. In a small lift deeper tissue is manipulated minimally. In a full lift tissue is repositioned for more upper fullness while the nipple is raised. Surgery typically takes about 2 hours. Scars may be around the areola, vertical or anchor-shaped depending on scope. Drains and a supportive bra are often included.

Risks

Risks may include bleeding, infection, temporary stinging/itching, sensation changes, asymmetry and visible scars. Scars fade over 6–12 months but remain visible to some degree. Natural ageing continues after surgery.

Recovery and maintenance

A supportive bra is typically worn day and night for about 3 weeks and then daytime. Avoid underwired bras for about 3 months. Tape on scars is often advised for the first months. The result holds best with stable weight and a healthy lifestyle.
